The Spanx Regional Sales Associate position’s main objective is to be a results driver. They must meet sales goals for current customers and identify new revenue opportunities within their assigned territory (NYC). This position will be responsible for building relationships with existing customers, elevating brand presence, identifying new opportunities, and following through on business driving opportunities.


In partnership with National Account Directors and Account Managers, the RSA will achieve results by focusing on these 5 Key factors:

  • Manage and maintain Flagship stores and a call cycle (NYC)
  • Generate New Revenue – Find and manage new business opportunities within existing and new accounts
  • Brand Authority – Own and be the expert of the who, what, when, where and why of the brand
  • Brand Ambassador – To share the brand story, educate the marketplace and assist corporate by being the expert in your region
  • Gather Intel – Look, Listen, learn internally and externally and share findings forward
  • Manage and maintain Flagship stores and a call cycle

  • Ensure in-store merchandising and brand standards are maintained/enhanced in all accounts with primary focus on flagship doors for Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor
  • Provide weekly recaps to account managers, senior directors and VP of sales on flagship stores including business performance, inventory health, sales strategies and relevant ground intelligence
  • Manage inventory to support sales.  Proactively review/track orders to ensure delivery and proper merchandising of product.  Recommend build orders as needed
  • Communicate all current and ongoing initiatives of the Spanx business model pertaining to but not limited to the account’s corporate strategy and individual door strategy
  • Manage Spanx specialists in flagship doors.  Provide training to all associates and managers on a regular basis

Generate New Revenue

  • Partner internally and externally to develop and execute sales driving initiatives
  • Execute and follow up on sales incentives to ensure the generation of incremental sales
  • Find distribution and new business opportunities so that Spanx can show up where she shops

Brand Authority

  • Analyze weekly sales reports and effectively use the data to drive sales 
  • Curate store assortments based on individual store demographic
  • Understand and communicate the customer nuances unique to the region/store to respective Account Managers/National Account Director
  • Ensure accounts adhere to brand visual standards and implement seasonal visual enhancements

Brand Ambassador

  • Develop relationships with partners in-store from top to bottom
  • Direct, execute and follow up on special events at retail locations
  • Plan and execute Sales Associate training in coordination with the brand’s vision
  • Drive local marketing and PR initiatives in partnership with broader marketing team

Gather Intel

  • Collect and report on market information, consumer/associate feedback, retailer strategies and trends
  • Provide competitive landscape updates as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of wholesale and/or retail sales background and experience managing sales support staff
  • Comfortable working remotely with a self-starter attitude
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Possesses solid business acumen and demonstrates ability to manage stock and sales plans
  • Excellent communication and follow-through skills
  • Dynamic, energetic and passionate about selling and about the Spanx brand
