Responsibilities

Reports to: Inventory Planner

 

Inventory Planning

  • Create monthly order recommendation based off sales forecast provided by Demand Planning
  • Balance order recommendations with manufacturers minimums, current inventory stock levels by warehouse, and MOS goals
  • Analyze category forecast at a sku level and partner with Demand Planning to identify risks and opportunities to the forecast; provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks
  • Determine inventory chase opportunities to maximize increases in forecast; partner with Production to execute at the manufacturer level
  • Identify needs to cancel/shift out production orders units based on sales forecast fluctuations
  • Translate seasonal post-Market sales orders into seasonal inventory buy
  • Assist Inventory Planners on preparation for seasonal commit meetings
  • Partner with Production Team to maximize production flow and capacity forecasts for manufacturing partners
  • Work with Demand Planning and Sales teams to understand sales initiatives and anticipated inventory needs
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations on inventory-related questions to cross-functional partners

 

Production Order Management

  • Expert knowledge of Blue Cherry and SCM systems to troubleshoot discrepancies in partnership with Inventory Planning and Production
  • Review POs for accuracy and approve POs written by Coordinator

 

Inventory Management

  • Work with Production team to develop read & react strategies including material/fabric positioning and chase production leadtimes
  • Partner with Sales and Operations teams to maximize the allocation/order fulfillment process

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, production planning, or merchandise planning
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in MS Office; advanced skills in Excel
  • Ability to leverage relationships across departments
