SPANX is seeking a front-end Web Developer to join our dynamic and collaborative ecommerce team.   This is a critical role in our evolving team, as you are the one that will bring our new web designs to life. Magento experience, and possessing a creative sense, are definite bonuses.
Core Job Functions:

  • Daily maintenance and coding updates to existing sites
  • HTML/CSS coding and updating for assigned projects
  • JavaScript scripting to build interactive but accessible interfaces
  • Email coding and deployment
  • Testing and technical debugging
  • Perform SEO updates

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Extensive front-end development experience in multiple languages and frameworks:
    • Magento
    • PHP
    • JavaScript / jQuery
    • HTML5
    • CSS/SASS
    • Wordpress
  • Savvy with front end, knowledgeable with back end development
  • Highly skilled in mobile and responsive development
  • Pixel perfect attention to detail
  • User Experience obsessed
  • Cross-browser development
  • Git and version control systems
  • General knowledge on basic SEO best practices
  • Overall knowledge of ecommerce website structure, functionality, and limitations
  • Familiarity of using website analytics to help inform decisions
  • Highly effective communicator and collaborator

  • Ability to work both independently and with a close collaborative team

  • 3+ years of full frontend web development experience in ecommerce, preferably with Magento 2 enterprise
  • Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with the development of an ecommerce website from initial concept through the go live process is a plus
