This role leads the pre-production process and reports into the Product Development Manager, managing the Product Calendar Timeline from Concept to Preproduction approval.  This role will oversee logistics and tracking for all samples fabric, raw materials and garments samples while keeping all team members up-to-date on product status.

  • Collaborate with Manager to create/maintain  a category specific development calendar
  • Manage the product development time and action calendars in the system – identify exceptions to manager and offer solutions
  • Ensure development tracking reports are updated and made available for weekly meeting
  • Demonstrate understanding of costing implications as they relate to the Product Development process.
  • Track, update and maintain accurate costs in all internal costing tools based on product updates.
  • Order, track and distribute all presentation samples, sales samples and photo shoot samples  
  • Ensure on time delivery and quality of protos and fit garments
  • Assist in communication with both vendors and suppliers
  • Create/manage internal proto assignment for new product developments
  • PLM responsibilities – initial style set up, maintain drop development styles     
  • Provides administrative support as needed, i.e. coordinating meeting logistics and maintaining needed trims for prototypes from internal sample room 
  • Build effective relationships with internal partners in Design, Merchandising, Materials and Production to help execute cross functional synergy and collaboration.

  • College degree in Apparel/Textile Design/Development or in a related field of study
  • 1- 3 years of experience in Product Development and/or Sourcing for Intimates or Apparel
  • Flexible, multitasker, adaptable to changing priorities and able to hit dates
  • Knowledge of costing, construction and technologies relevant to apparel
  • Understanding of design, development and merchandising process from inception through production
  • Collaborate with all cross functional partners in a detailed and organized manner
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office (word and excel), Adobe Illustrator, and PLM
