Responsibilities

The Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of store operations, visual merchandising, and customer service. He/She is a strong leader with an ability to drive sales through excellent customer service skills, strong visual presentation and a full understanding of the business. The Store Manager is also responsible for the recruiting, training and development of all store staff and ensures long-term business growth in accordance with company philosophy and established policies and procedures.
 
Sales: 

  • Consistently meet established sales goals
  • Track, monitor and communicate business results, while educating team on sales plan and store Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals
  • Develop associate selling techniques to maximize sales
  • Ensure all sales related policies and procedures are maintained
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise, and develop product knowledge among sales team
  • Possess a passion for the fashion industry and knowledge of market trends
  • Responsible for maintaining high sales performance during sales floor segments

Customer Service: 

  • Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service, leading by example
  • Build and maintain repeat clientele by utilizing personal client book and assisting staff with utilizing their client books
  • Resolve all client related concerns quickly and effectively 

Operations: 

  • Oversee all loss prevention, security, store cash controls, bank deposits, and inventory management
  • Responsible for staff training in all areas of appropriate point of sale policies and procedures
  • Perform and supervise proper execution of all management register functions
  • Conduct annual inventory and full cycle counts

Merchandising/Visual: 

  • Implement and maintain all merchandising/ visual directives
  • Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, fully stocked and organized reflecting brand standards at all times
  • Identify and communicate product and inventory needs in a timely manner
  • Ensure deliveries are properly processed in a timely manner

 
Human Resources: 

  • Recruit, train and develop staff ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified personnel
  • Manage employee scheduling while ensuring the integrity of the payroll process
  • Continually evaluate the performance of each associate and provide constant feedback to ensure results
  • Conduct annual employee performance appraisals
  • Resolve all Human Resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessary
  • Support and provide follow-up for all corporate initiated training programs
  • Ensure presentation & wardrobe standards are professional, reflective of the brand image and adhered to at all times

Qualifications

  • 5 years of retail management experience, specialty retail experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to travel annually for management conference
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in the development of sales team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Self-motivated team player with entrepreneurial spirit
