SPANX seeks a creative Copywriter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment by creating humorous, fun and empowering content for the SPANX brand.

 

 

SUMMARY:

This senior level Copywriter will be responsible for brainstorming, creating and producing concepts for advertising, catalog, emails, social, packaging, retail and more. Ideate names and positioning for new product development while supporting seasonal line planning with the creation of sell-in collateral. Transform product positioning and key seasonal focuses into content stories to be leveraged in an Omni-channel manner. Oversee the conversational tone of voice for the brand in all assets.

Responsibilities

  • Own the SPANX brand voice, characterized by: humor, authenticity, playfulness, empowerment and a shock factor
  • Discover opportunities for creative activations to delight and engage with our audience digitally and IRL
  • Understand the product WHY – what’s in it for her emotionally, and communicate in an on-brand way
  • Write copy for catalog, emails, spanx.com, ads, packaging, signage, etc.
  • Master the seasonal collections, product benefits, distribution and pricing
  • Ideate, create and present content stories that engage, educate and delight the consumer
  • Cast creative vision and work collaboratively with graphic designers to bring concepts to life
  • Manage project deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Experience with multichannel, 360 degree brand work (video, print, OOH, social platforms, experiential, guerrilla, blog - whole campaigns)
  • Strong writing skills
  • A sense of humor
  • Ability to not take oneself too seriously
  • 6+ years in either retail or apparel brand experience
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative nature
  • Time management
  • Highly organized
  • Self-motivated
  • Helpful but not required, portfolio school education
