Responsibilities

About the Role

We are actively looking for our future Account Manager, New Business. We are seeking a dynamic sales personality who knows how to close deals and thrives on the hunt for new business. The Account Manager will work to vet and open new door opportunities for the full portfolio of Spanx brands. They will develop and execute successful long-term business building strategies, drive industry trends and meet or exceed assigned quotas/budgets. They will analyze business trends and customer competitive activity to optimize Spanx offerings and brand equity. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is motivated to positively influence the business. A great personality as well as strong decision-making skills are a must!

  • Proactively recognize sales trends and identify new opportunities for Spanx
  • Target, profile, and work to convert key prospective clients into customers
  • Strategically and tactically manage key joint business planning priorities and develop positive business relationships with organizations, retailers, and associations
  • Deliver new initiatives and promotions to maximize sales, focused on sell in and sell through
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process including opening and developing new business, determining needs, and proposing compelling programs
  • Develop sales plan to meet or exceed growth and revenue goal
  • Own weekly forecasting against goals utilizing internal Spanx sales systems
  • Develop and maintain strong client and agency relationships
  • Develop long term strategic plans and programs that pinpoint new revenue opportunities
  • Represent the company as a key external evangelist
  • Effectively work with direct manager & cross-functional internal resources to plan and execute strategic plans with excellence
  • Partner with education and the customers on annual/quarterly education and meeting plans
  • Maintain and effectively use all budgets

Qualifications

We Require…

  • BA/BS degree
  • Proven experience working in either the retail or apparel market
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Demonstrated success at growing revenue at an entrepreneurial company
  • Ability to develop excellent relationships with key CPG clients and key promotional agencies
  • Strong presentation skills for any audience
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to close; ask for the business
  • Emotional intelligence, positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, sense of humor
  • Belief in the Spanx brand, products, mission, and future; a cultural fit, who thrives in a fast- paced, hands-on, rapidly changing environment
