Overview

 This individual is responsible for supporting the philanthropic ecosystem of Sara Blakely through event-planning, grant-making initiatives and other programs and projects that relate to philanthropy and corporate citizenship.

 

Responsibilities

Sara Blakely Foundation

  • Research partnerships/philanthropic opportunities
  • Oversee due diligence process: org vetting and eligibility requirements
  • Serve as liaison to organizations; facilitate legal and finance process
  • Manage annual budget for foundation; maintain that endowment and DAF is spending according to policy
  • Work with finance team to ensure budget reconciliation
  • Build and manage follow up reporting systems to measure success and value
  • Support ELife and impact investing teams
  • This position also works closely with the Blakely family to facilitate personal grant making

 

HR/Employee Engagement

  • Reconcile philanthropy and HR events calendars; coordinate accordingly
  • Review and elevate employee engagement opportunities
  • Help facilitate employee engagement opportunities with HR team

 

Marketing/Corporate Philanthropy

  • Work with marketing team to determine filters for elevating corporate sponsorship opportunities
  • Communicate with MKTG/DTC teams to increase social media, press and .com opportunities for increased awareness of company culture and philanthropy

 

Events

  • Lead POC/project manager for philanthropy-related events
  • Serve as foundation representative at external events, as needed
  • Assist HR team in facilitating employee engagement events

 

Communications

  • Manage unsolicited correspondence to the department (electronic & postal) from internal and external constituents
  • Serve as first POC for cold-calls from nonprofit organizations, respond/redirect as appropriate
  • Communicate relevant updates to internal and external stakeholders, including SBF web teams, as needed

Qualifications

  • Dynamic individual who’s passionate about elevating women and making the world a better place!
  • Self-starter who’s detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Deadline-oriented and flexible under quickly shifting priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and finance operations
  • Recommended: 3-5 years working in non-profit organization and on the pulse of social trends
