    Responsibilities

    The Senior Social Media Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic social content marketing that articulates Spanx mission to help women feel great about themselves and their potential. You will be responsible for creating innovative editorial and visual content that will build our brand, internally and externally, increase awareness, consumer engagement, acquisition and retention. You will develop the tone and voice of the brand, and produce a variety of content specifically focused on social media.

    • Define and implement a unique, brand-right voice and aesthetic across all social channels that’s as inspiring as it is brand-building
    • Define and implement unified social programs and strategies to increase brand awareness, audience, and engagement
    • Build and maintain social calendar to generate authentic engagement and drive awareness of Spanx on all social channels
    • Photograph and/or work with freelance photographers and in-house graphic designers to create original content with a brand-right aesthetic
    • Build and maintain all social communities
    • Understand ROI of efforts; report on channel results and performance in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, actionable and understandable
    • Lead new customer acquisition projects and launches of new social tools or opportunities
    • Cultivate relationships with and manage outreach to digital PR players and select partners, securing brand-enhancing coverage
    • Monitor and forecast digital trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and risks; assess competitors and make recommendations; benchmark Spanx performance across all channels as it relates to competitors within the fashion industry
    • Work closely with our people team to help define and maintain internal communications and storytelling around our employment brand
    • Design and facilitate annual social media budget

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in editorial, native and/or content development
    • Very strong online copywriting and editing skills
    • Exceptional social media skills and strategic ability to build a following. Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Youtube
    • Understanding of different content analytics tools and social analytics tools
    • You have played a leading role in supporting global, disruptive campaigns for lifestyle brands, as well as partnering with outside agencies
    • A collaborative nature with finesse in developing relationships cross-functionally
    • Meaningful experience with agency/vendor management
    • Sense of humor
    • Exceptional interpersonal, networking and verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Impeccable aesthetic, attention to detail and love of design
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
