    About the role

     

    Provide strong leadership and strategic growth vision for the QVC business.  Play a strategic role in sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes to be applied by the team.  Work to maintain high quality processes and strategies.  Coordinate growth efforts with the Founder, VP of Sales, Director of Specialty Accounts, key stakeholders, and relevant cross-functional departments to align efforts and guarantee the success of sales growth with QVC.   This position will report to Director of Specialty Accounts.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to QVC
    • Build and maintain strong, long – lasting relationships with QVC buying team and cross functional SPANX teams
    • Use dynamic presentation skills and strong business acumen to represent the company well - be the day to day face of the brand responsible for driving sales/opportunities
    • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to QVC needs and objectives
    • Creatively and optimistically partner on opportunities and challenges ranging from product, timing, financial, marketing, ISM and sales with the end goal of strengthening relationships and growing the business
    • Actively participate in NY market weeks (approximately 3 per year) by leading seasonal sell-in meetings and follow up business meetings. Responsibilities include developing presentation materials including detailed sales analysis, business recaps, strategies, ideal seasonal product assortments to maximize sales productivity, product and marketing trends, potential white space opportunities, and presenting new products to Buyers and the Management teams.
    • Develop seasonal marketing plans and partner internally to execute for QVC channel, all within budget constraints
    • Hold weekly touch bases with QVC on various topics: sales, marketing needs, general state of the business, inventory levels, weekly orders versus weekly forecasts Communicate customer feedback to management/appropriate internal departments/teams
    • Review and summarize weekly retail sales recaps, identifying trends and opportunities for incremental sales. Lead the execution of those sales.
    • Develop seasonal price promotional strategies for QVC based upon merchandising strategies and driven by retail sales performance
    • Hold monthly face to face meetings with key partners – develop decks that recap retail sales performance, identifying future opportunities; discuss future season open issues and strategies; review performance-to-date against vendor plans; analyze weekly orders and how trending to receipt forecasts
    • Review weekly, monthly and yearly orders to identify areas not meeting plan and work with customer to resolve

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years in selling or buying at a luxury branded apparel
    • Dynamic negotiating, influencing and presentation skills
    • Understanding of QVC sales model
    • Ability to build strong relationships with key internal partners as well as executive level partners
    • Significant experience managing and developing a team
    • Available to travel extensively
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Advanced PC knowledge including Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Office
